Two Score and Eleven More…

…awesome barn quilts sighted by our motoring squad during the EIM Barn Quilt Drive held yesterday in Washington County, IA — the “Barn Quilt Capital of Iowa — and that doesn’t even count all of the sidewalk quilt squares we saw during our lovely lunch stop at the quaint Tuscan Moon Grill on Fifth restaurant in Kalona, IA. The weather got better and better as the day progressed, and it was really great to finally get out on the road and do some quality MINI motoring. Thanks much to all of our dedicated MINI enthusiasts who braved the early morning weather to join us for the drive. Special and sincere thanks to Janis M. and Melva M. for arranging and hosting the “sweet” dessert stop at the conclusion of the drive. We also want to acknowledge Linda and Tom R. who were able to join us along the route despite recovering from Linda’s birthday party the previous evening. Talk about dedication!

R4TH2 and the Black Hills are up next. Time to start getting excited. 🙂
