MINIs and their enthusiastic owners in record numbers from eastern Iowa are primed and ready to join MINIs from all over the Midwest and Mountain states for the High Plains Motoring Society (HPMS) Run for the Hills #2 (R4TH2). HPMS was conceived three years ago by leaders of the Denver, St. Louis, and Omaha MINI clubs as a way of offering a closer, more accessible, and less formal alternative to the MINIs on the Dragon (MOTD) event held out in the eastern U.S. each year. Eastern Iowa MINIs has been a major player in HPMS since its inception.

This year’s HPMS R4TH2 event is taking place from 12-15 May in the beautiful Black Hills area of South Dakota. Plans include Badlands National Park, Mt. Rushmore, Custer State Park, the Hot Rod Institute in Rapid City, Crazy Horse, eating, shopping, sightseeing, and of course enjoying all of the amazing mountain roads seemingly designed just for MINI motoring!
