The early July weather in the Milwaukee area couldn’t have been better for our very own EIM “Mini-MINI Meet” that was held on 3-5 July in conjunction with the quinquennial Mini Meet East Meets West, this year conducted on the grounds of Mt. Mary University. The final tally was about 120 Minis and MINIs, about evenly split between the classics and the “new” models.

It was great fun meeting up with our Iowa MINI mates and meeting some new friends. Our Friday morning drive took us through portions of the scenic Kettle Moraine State Forest. On the way we stopped at Holy Hill and climbed almost 200 ft up the dizzying steel steps to the top of the Basilica’s Scenic Tower for the breathtaking view. We enjoyed the car show on Friday afternoon and managed to crash and squeeze into the group photo later that afternoon. Several of us managed to visit Spectacular Sculptures for some nifty photo ops with our MINIs. The Saturday morning highlight had to be watching Jeff and Sue N. competing in the Funkana! It was a great three days of MINI motoring fun!
