Management staff from Willis Auto Campus in Des Moines shared their architectural concept drawings for their MINI Cooper building expansion plans at the EIM Meet-n-Eat in Cedar Rapids on Saturday, March 27th. The infrastructure improvements are being executed by their dealership in preparation for the grand opening of the very first MINI Cooper franchise in the State of Iowa, presently expected to occur in late 2010.
The MINI franchise will displace the building space previously occupied by Hummer. The drawings reveal a largely glass facia with newly integrated MINI logo, and a glass and steel showroom “box” that can be elevated for effective vehicle display from any angle in front of the building. The sales area will be a large, open area with modern architecture that seems perfectly suited for the modern MINI genre.
