Several MINI enthusiasts from our group recently returned from a fantastic four day vacation of mountain motoring while participating in MINIs in the Mountains 2012, a popular, annual event hosted by the Denver-based MINI5280 Club. Nearly 300 MINIs and their owners from across the U.S. converged on Winter Park Resort in Colorado to escape the summer heat, enjoy the cool mountain air and copious sunshine, absolutely breathtaking scenery, incredible high country twisties, and the companionship of like-minded MINI friends. It was an absolute blast from start to finish. No one was ready to leave for home on the final day.

We want to thank Alyce S. for reserving our condo at the Winter Park Lodge, allowing us to transform it into our own EIM headquarters where we could kick back and relax together (and host a fun, impromptu birthday party for Cindy D.!). We also send our kudos to Don S. and the whole MINI5280 team for putting on yet another first-class event.

We enjoyed meeting new local MINI friends Mike and Gloria from Bettendorf for the first time, as well as their awesome new MCS Roadster!
