Would you eat a slice of pie with this man?
You would–and you will–when you join us on Sunday, November 21st for an Iowa MINI Pie Fest!
Organized by our good MINI friend Roger S., this drive takes us to the famous American Gothic House in Eldon, IA. Rendezvous time there is at 3:00 pm (those coming from eastern Iowa should see the additional note** below). The caretaker of this historic property, Ms. Beth Howard, is known for a couple of other items too: (1) she is called the American Pie Lady for her philosophy and acumen in pie sharing (check out this link: http://theworldneedsmorepie.com/); and (2) she is a proud fellow Iowa MINI Cooper owner! 
There will be photo opportunities, pie sampling, and other fun activities.

**Note: MINIs coming from eastern Iowa are welcome to rendezvous with Daryl H. at 1:00 pm at the Riverside Auto Spa in Riverside, IA (on IA-22 located 500 yards east of US-218 towards the casino) and we’ll caravan to Eldon together

Yes – that’s Roger himself in the picture, taken during an 8th Iowa Fall Tour photo op. Obviously a fun-loving dude!
Here is a note received from Beth Howard, the “Pie Lady” in Eldon:
“If you would like a pie to take home with you, you are welcome to pre-order. Apple and apple crumble are $15, and pecan is $18. I also make mini-pies (5”) for $6 each.
